What can I accomplish with this program?

See the Feature Sheet.

With a BASpay Rate Determination or Incentive Calculation Program, you can:

  • Efficiently and consistently evaluate and adjust batches of labor, other charges, or deductions queued for Trial in the payroll program each pay cycle
  • Manage eligibility, floors, and limits for employees and calculate and add charges for incentive pay, including productivity parameters from external systems
  • Evaluate and adjust overtime and other hours-based premiums by applying average hourly wages determined from the batches being processed
  • Set up and use shift and other time-of-day, day-of-week, or date-specific rules and logic to adjust or enhance labor batches to your specification
  • Evaluate and adjust batches brought in from auto-timesheets or other sources where employees worked a “non-routine” period and need validation or "normalization"
How does it work?

See our System Diagram.

This category of program is typically a menu-driven “pre -Trial” program that can apply the rules and evaluate the labor prepared for Trial, adjusting and adding charges as appropriate. In some situations, this capability can be built into a BASpay Labor Import Program because the batch is complete and ready for supplemental processing during the import. Audit reports always show the operator the data evaluated in the batch, the results, and any adjustments that would be made if authorized. Our program makes these calculations based on your setup tables per employee, and can make all the adjustments necessary in the batch after a explicit go-ahead. This process is what you’d have to calculate and enter by-hand each and every pay cycle if this task is not automated. Setup is appropriate to the capabilities you specify. Any audit report of an assembled batch may be sent to screen, printer, browse, or Excel. Once an assembled batch is audited and approved, the operator can authorize “posting” within the payroll system to commit the newly-determined rates or charges.

Are there optional capabilities?

Yes. See the Feature Sheet.

Optional processing is available to meet advanced needs. This category of programs usually includes som client-specific policies. Some organizations have conditional logic associated with eligible earnings and types of hours. Use of and emphasis on piece work or incentives differ from industry to industry and company to company. Some organizations want or need to include or exclude certain earnings or to import externally calculated amounts. Optional processing is available to client specification to fulfill these requirements too.

What happens if I change my situation or requirements change?

See the Feature Sheet.

BAS programs are table-driven, where appropriate, and designed to be modified cost-effectively. When this happens, you would coordinate with us, define the new requirements, and update your capabilities. It’s highly likely that you can continue to prepare and audit your batches as before, but with updated logic and updated outputs.

What is the process to get this program, pre-configured for my situation?

We review each order and coordinate with the client representative(s) and plan representatives to be sure what we provide meets the client’s needs before we build and register the program for the situation. Our “Needs Analysis” and methods are designed to make this as smooth a process as possible.
